Beautiful 20 Acre Mining Claim Lake County Colorado Big Union Creek Weston GOLD

Up for sale is a wonderful claim, located just a few miles south of Leadville Colorado. It is located in a region known as "Gold Basin" which is located on the West face of Weston Pass. Stretching from just below the summit to about a mile West of this claim, was a major placer and hardrock mining district whos primary mineral was gold, however a solid amount of silver, copper, lead, and zinc was also recovered in the area. From the center of this claim, East, roughly 2000ft and then West about 3000 feet was the primary gold placer district. Mining took place here from the mid 1870s up through the early 1880s when hardrock mining took over. The gold here is mostly smaller flakes and flour gold, with an occasional picker. Its located on NFS land and a battery powered highbanker can be used here without a permit. If you want to dredge or use a gas powered highbanker you will need a permit. I personally prospected and worked this claim, recovering about 5grams in total. I was unable to work this one as much as I would have liked, but enjoyed myself immensely when I was out. Light travel on the FSR, and never dealt with other folks. Road is a little rough in a few places in the last mile so clearance is a must. You can access the claim 3 season from both the East (Fairplay side) or the West (Leadville side). All 4 corners are posted and a legal location monument is in place. Claim is active and all fees are covered until September of next year. This is a great claim, with tons of amazing camping, there are a few spots where one can even park a smaller RV or Camper. Many of the claims being sold here on eBay are "paper staked" and thus given federal law, illegal. I am more than happy to answer questions, take phone calls, help you along your prospecting journey. After the full purchase price has been paid, it typically takes anywhere between 7-10 business days for the quitclaim to be submitted to both the BLM and the County. This is because I personally take the quitclaim down to the BLM Colorado State offices down in Lakewood, CO. This ensures the fastest turnaround time and also allows me to provide the buyer with the original "wet" copy of the Quitclaim for their records. All in all, most buyers receive the finalized quitclaim in the mail from me within 45 days or less. Are there any taxes? There are no taxes, however there is a 200.00 maintenance fee that is due to the BLM before September 1st of each year. Given the nature of how un-patented mining claims are transferred there are NO refunds or returns.
