This 17 acre mining claim is located in the heart of the Argentine Mining District in Clear Creek County Colorado, only about 15 minutes away from the historic Silver Plume, about 15 minutes from Loveland Ski Resort and the Eisenhower Tunnel. It is located only a 15 minute hike or a 2 minute drive from the trailhead for 14ers Grays & Torreys. This claim is incredible. This particular mining district was well known for its high grade silver and gold ore. Along with having a short lived placer boom in the 1880s. The claim is just down stream from two large lode mines that operated from the late 1870s through the 1910s. There is an abundance of old miners trash and old camps. Camping and prospecting here has been an absolute joy. The gold is fine, but once you hit those little honey holes, this claim truly gives back. I personally prospected and staked this claim, all 4 corners are marked and a Legal Location Monument is visible from the road. All paperwork and fees are up to date with the BLM and the County, no additional fees are due until September of next year. Why buy from me? I am local to Colorado, unlike many of the folks on here selling claims. I personally prospected and staked each and every claim I own. Many of the claims being sold here on eBay are "paper staked" and thus given federal law, illegal. I am more than happy to answer questions, take phone calls, help you along your prospecting journey. I take a lot of pride in the work I do and a large portion of the money raised goes toward a non-profit museum. How long will the transfer process take? After the full purchase price has been paid, it typically takes anywhere between 7-10 business days for the quitclaim to be submitted to both the BLM and the County. This is because I personally take the quitclaim down to the BLM Colorado State offices down in Lakewood, CO. This ensures the fastest turnaround time and also allows me to provide the buyer with the original "wet" copy of the Quitclaim for their records. All in all, most buyers receive the finalized quitclaim in the mail from me within 45 days or less. Are there any taxes? There are no taxes, however there is a 200.00 maintenance fee that is due to the BLM before September 1st of each year. Alternatively you can submit a Small Miners Waiver, which reduces that fee to only 15.00. I happy to provide these forms upon request. Are there any returns or refunds? Given the nature of how un-patented mining claims are transferred there are NO refunds or returns. There is no reversal of the claim transfer, thus once the notarized quitclaim has been submitted to the BLM there is no option for a refund. All sales are final.
