This mining claim, while not private property, is still an incredible way to own a little slice of the mountains without spending 10s or even 100s of thousands of dollars. It is located roughly 20 minutes South of Rand, Colorado. It can be accessed via 2wd 3 seasons and 4 seasons with a 4wd (depending on snow pack). The claim is situated on Willow Creek, which runs year round.

There is ample tent camping areas throughout the claim, and there is a LARGE pull-off on the north side of the claim that can facilitate larger RV/Campers. The area is lightly traveled and remains pretty quiet throughout the week and gets a little bit busier on the weekends. It is thick and green, lush with willows, aspens, and evergreens.

It's a truly area and is as great a recreational oasis as it is a mining claim. All fees are paid up until Sept. 1st of 2027.

Why buy from me? I am local to Colorado, unlike many of the folks on here selling claims, I personally prospected and staked each and every claim I own. I am more than happy to answer questions, take phone calls, help you along your prospecting journey. I take a lot of pride in the work I do and a large portion of the money raised goes toward a non-profit museum. Most of the claims being sold here on eBay are "paper staked" and by Federal law, are not valid. How long will the transfer process take? After the full purchase price has been paid, it typically takes anywhere between 7-10 business days for the quitclaim to be submitted to both the BLM and the County. This is because I personally take the quitclaim down to the BLM Colorado State offices down in Lakewood, CO. This ensures the fastest turnaround time and also allows me to provide the buyer with the original "wet" copy of the Quitclaim for their records. All in all, most buyers receive the finalized quitclaim in the mail from me within 45 days or less. Are there any taxes? There are no taxes, however there is a 200.00 maintenance fee that is due to the BLM before September 1st of each year. Alternatively you can submit a Small Miners Waiver, which reduces that fee to only 15.00. I happy to provide these forms upon request. Are there any returns or refunds? Given the nature of how un-patented mining claims are transferred there are no refunds or returns. There is no reversal of the claim transfer, thus once the notarized quitclaim has been submitted to the BLM, so there is no option for a refund. All sales are final.
